Backed by a strong home crowd, Garcia was untouchable across the Spanish GP. He topped Friday night’s Super Test by almost a full second, then carried that pace into the weekend’s main races to secure a perfect double in both EnduroGP and Enduro1.

Saturday’s opening day was made especially difficult by overnight rain, with grip at a premium and the early test conditions far from ideal. Garcia, starting near the front, lost time in the opening lap as the terrain was still at its worst, but as the day developed he steadily built speed and rhythm. By the penultimate test he had moved into the lead, and from there he pulled clear to win by 45 seconds. He also controlled the Enduro1 category, winning five special tests on his way to another class victory.
On Sunday, Garcia left no doubts. He won the opening test, took charge immediately, and never looked back. Riding with authority from start to finish, he claimed his second overall win of the weekend by nearly 40 seconds, while also making it four wins from four days in Enduro1 so far this season.

Verona also delivered a strong weekend on the KTM 450 EXC-F. On Saturday, the Italian dealt with the same difficult early conditions as Garcia and had to fight back from a tricky start. He stayed consistent throughout the day and worked his way onto the overall podium with third place, narrowly missing the Enduro2 win by just 1.55 seconds behind Hamish Macdonald.
He came back even stronger on Sunday. Verona quickly found his rhythm, moved into second after the first lap, and stayed firmly in contention all day with two test wins of his own. He secured second overall, completing a KTM 1-2 in the general classification, and also took the Enduro2 victory. That result gives him three class wins from four race days in 2026.
Josep Garcia said:
“We’ve just finished the EnduroGP here in Spain and it’s been a perfect weekend for me – fastest on Friday, the win on Saturday, and another win today. To take another victory in both the overall and Enduro1 is an incredible feeling, especially here at my home round. I felt really good on the bike all weekend and was able to make the most difference in the enduro test, which helped me manage the rest of the day. Everything came together perfectly and I really enjoyed the racing. A big thank you to all the fans for their support – it means a lot to win here in front of them.”
Andrea Verona added:
“That’s the end of day two here in Spain and overall it’s been a really positive weekend. Finishing second overall and taking the win in Enduro2 is a strong result for the championship. I felt fast and comfortable on the bike, even if I was missing a little bit of flow in the enduro test, similar to yesterday. I also had a small crash on the final lap, which didn’t help, but overall I’m happy with my performance. The conditions were really tough all weekend, so to come away with these results is important, and now we look ahead to the next round in Finland.”

After two rounds, Garcia now leads EnduroGP with 75 points, 11 clear of Verona, and also tops Enduro1 with a perfect 80 points. Verona sits second overall in the championship and leads Enduro2 with 77 points, giving Red Bull KTM Factory Racing a one-two lockout in the overall standings.
The championship now moves on to Finland, with round three scheduled for May 22-24 in Vierumäki, Salpausselkä.
