Steve Holcombe is a world champion once again.The Sherco Racing Factory rider secured the 2026 FIM Enduro3 World Championship at the final round of the season in Rhayader, Wales, claiming his 10th world title and becoming the joint second most successful EnduroGP rider of all time.
It was the perfect ending to Holcombe’s first season with Sherco, especially after returning to competition following a year away due to injury.
A Strong Saturday Put Holcombe in Control
Holcombe started his home GP with a cautious ninth place in Friday evening’s Super Test, but quickly found his rhythm when the real racing began.
On Saturday, he remained near the front of the EnduroGP classification throughout the day, finishing fourth overall, just 0.29 seconds from the podium.
More importantly, he dominated Enduro3, taking another class victory and keeping control of the championship heading into Sunday.
A Nervous Final Day, but Enough for the Title
Sunday was much more difficult. With the championship on the line, Holcombe made a mistake in the Extreme Test that cost him valuable time and forced him onto the back foot.
He continued fighting but admitted that the pressure affected his riding. Another small crash followed, and the Brit eventually finished 11th overall and fourth in Enduro3. It was still enough. Holcombe secured the championship by four points, wrapping up his fourth Enduro3 world title.
An Incredible Season of Consistency
Holcombe finishes the 2026 season:
- Fourth overall in EnduroGP
- With four overall EnduroGP podiums
- On the Enduro3 podium at every round
- With nine Enduro3 victories
- With two runner-up finishes
The title is his 10th world crown, achieved in his debut season with Sherco Racing Factory.
