The 8th edition of Hard Enduro Poiana Ruscă has come to an end after three intense days of racing through rocky hills, dusty climbs, and dense forests. Riders faced a challenging course that demanded both endurance and precise navigation. With over 100 km of terrain on Day 2 and a decisive final push on Day 3, the podiums were far from settled after the prologue.
Slovakian rider David Cyprian maintained his early advantage and managed to control the race from the front. After a strong prologue win, he held off pressure from his closest rivals during the long second day and sealed the deal with another solid ride on Day 3.
Jozsa Norbert Levente from Romania pushed hard throughout, keeping the pace high and finishing second overall after a close battle. Kornel Ott, despite an early disadvantage in the prologue, delivered one of the most impressive performances, climbing to third place with consistent top times in both Day 2 and Day 3.
Vlad Hambășan and Ciprian Furtună showed solid pace and composure in the toughest sections to finish in the top five.

David Cyprian for Zona Enduro:
“Poiana Ruscă was a really good race for me. We always had a battle with Norbi and Kornel in the beginning, but then I was able to pull a gap and ride solo. It was a lot of fun. No mistakes, no crashes. Next up is Piatra Craiului.”

Sergiu Grecu saved his best for last—his Day 3 performance was the fastest in class and earned him the overall win, overtaking Zackiewicz who had led at the end of Day 2. Raul Marin climbed from outside the podium with a strong final push, while David Ignat and Tamaș Dragos Alin traded seconds in a close fight for fourth.

Perhaps the most exciting battle of the weekend came in the Veteran class. After trailing behind Zdenek Cyprian — David Cyprian’s father—after Day 1, Bart Stroișteanu delivered two powerful rides across the final two days and managed to overturn the deficit.
Stroișteanu’s Day 3 performance was particularly decisive, allowing him to overtake Cyprian and take the overall win.
Piotr Gorka had the fastest Day 1, but couldn’t keep pace on the longer loops. Broughton Adrian took advantage of Cyprian’s time losses, while Conopan stayed consistent to finish fifth.

Grigoraș handled the long-course days with maturity and clean lines, climbing to first overall after losing time in the prologue. Celine Mareș impressed with steady improvement and claimed second. Pustelnik led early but unfortunately she abandoned the race in DAY 3.

The Hobby class saw one of the most exciting finishes of the weekend. Ioan Chiujdea took the win with a total time of 5h 42m 30s, thanks to the fastest Day 3 performance, climbing from behind to secure the top spot.
Mátyás Kubovy, who led after Day 2, couldn’t match Chiujdea’s final pace and finished second, just 4 minutes and 32 seconds back. Early leader Denis Adrian Apati, strong in the prologue and Day 2, dropped to third after a slower final stage.
Eduard Petcu and Ștefan Kollar completed the top five, both riding steady and smart across all three days in a class with dozens of competitive riders.
With Poiana Ruscă now behind them, riders and teams are already preparing for the next big challenge: the European Hard Enduro Cup – Piatra Craiului, scheduled for June 27–29 in Zărnești.
New terrain, new strategies, and another chance to make a statement in one of Romania’s most scenic and technical hard enduro races.
