The riders enjoyed another beautiful but demanding race in the Piatra Craiului area, with fast sections, technical climbs and, once again, the famous NO HELP ZONE sections for Class A, where every rider had to truly face the course alone.
In Class A / PRO, the big story was the battle between David Cyprian and Jozsa Norbert Levente. After several strong wins from Norbi in the Romanian Hard Enduro Championship, Piatra Craiului was the race where David managed to stop the streak.
And he did it in convincing fashion. The Czech rider had a perfect weekend, winning every day of racing and building a clear gap by the end of the event. David finished first overall with a total time of 6:53:34, ahead of Jozsa Norbert Levente, who finished second, 22 minutes and 57 seconds behind. Ott Kornel Jun. completed the podium in third, followed by Cezar Nicolae Șulea and Zsolt Varga.

After the race, David told us:
“It was very nice, the weather was very hot, so it was challenging. The track was nice, hard enough, but also some nice flowy sections. I probably couldn’t ask for more as I didn’t have any problem and was able to push everyday. It was a great preparation ahead of Romaniacs. Marking was also superb and organisation was on high level as well.”
It was one of those weekends where everything came together for David: speed, consistency, no mistakes and no mechanical problems. With Romaniacs coming next, this was exactly the kind of result he needed.
The Expert class delivered one of the closest battles of the weekend. Raul Marian Marin, from Motokron Racing Team, took the win with a total time of 5:52:32, but the victory was far from easy.
David Ioan Ignat pushed him all the way and finished second, only 1 minute and 4 seconds behind. The fight was decided in the final day, where Raul was able to make the difference and secure the overall win.
Eduard Vlad Petcu completed the podium in third, finishing 7 minutes and 38 seconds behind the leader, while Mădălin Mihai Chelcea and David Pop completed a very strong top five.
It was a class where every small mistake mattered, especially at the front, with the podium fight remaining very tight until the end.
In Veterans, Zdenek Cyprian delivered a dominant performance. He won the class with a total time of 6:29:50, showing great speed and experience across all three days.
Behind him, Paul Cristian Harpa finished second, 12 minutes and 3 seconds back, while Bart Stroișteanu once again put in a solid ride to finish third. Bart’s podium confirms his consistency in the Veteran class, especially on a race that demanded both physical strength and smart riding. Raul Gadola took fourth, while Gheorghe Orzan completed the top five.
In the Girls class, Mihaela Isabela Ioniță from Master Bike Cluj took the victory with a total time of 7:18:32.
She controlled the class from start to finish and was the strongest rider across the weekend. Andrea Barabas Agoston finished second, while Anda Maria Sălăjan was unable to complete the full race.
For Master Bike Cluj, it was another important result in the women’s category.
In G-Boys, Viorel Constantin from Vectra Zărnești took the win with a total time of 5:55:32. He was followed by Iulian Lucian Șchiopu from Master Bike Cluj, who finished second, 17 minutes and 54 seconds behind. Timotei Giurgi, also from Master Bike Cluj, completed the podium in third.
The class had a clear winner, but the battle behind showed good pace from the “young riders”, especially on the final day where the times remained close at the front.

The Hobby class was once again one of the most competitive categories of the weekend. Marin Bogdan Butiu, from Black Ryders Sibiu, took the win with a total time of 4:34:41, but the fight for the podium was extremely tight. Filip Macarie finished second, only 1 minute and 37 seconds behind, while Matei Tudor Bortan took third place, 5 minutes and 11 seconds behind the winner.
Just behind the podium, Maria Grigoraș put in another excellent ride for Master Bike Cluj, finishing fourth overall in Hobby, only 1 minute and 31 seconds away from the podium. After her historic podium at Poiana Ruscă, Maria again proved that she can fight at the very front in one of the most crowded and competitive classes.

Hard Enduro Piatra Craiului once again showed why it is one of the standout races in the Romanian championship. The event offered beautiful terrain, serious hard enduro sections, hot weather, strong organization and a course that rewarded both speed and control.
For David Cyprian, it was a perfect weekend and a major statement before Romaniacs. For Norbi, it was the end of a winning streak, but not the end of the fight. And for the rest of the classes, Piatra Craiului once again delivered the kind of racing that makes this round one of the most respected events of the season.
