Andrea Verona is the 2026 FIM Enduro2 World Champion after a dramatic final day at the GP of Wales in Rhayader. The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider delivered when it mattered most, winning Enduro2 on Sunday to successfully defend his title and secure his third consecutive Enduro2 World Championship.
The Italian also ends the year as EnduroGP vice-champion, while teammate Josep Garcia closes an incredible season with another EnduroGP and Enduro1 double victory.
One Point, One Final Day, One Title
Verona arrived in Wales with the Enduro2 championship still undecided.A crash in the opening test on Saturday cost him valuable time, but he recovered throughout the day and finished fifth overall in EnduroGP and third in Enduro2.
That left him just one point ahead of Zach Pichon before Sunday.The situation could not have been clearer: the final day would decide everything.
Verona Delivers Under Pressure
On Sunday, Verona immediately raised the pace. He built a 16-second advantage over Pichon across the opening two laps and maintained control through the remainder of the day. The Italian won Enduro2 and also finished second overall in EnduroGP, securing the championship in style.
The title is Verona’s third consecutive Enduro2 crown and his ninth FIM Enduro World Championship, placing him alongside Josep Garcia as the joint-third most successful rider in EnduroGP history.
Garcia Ends the Season with Win Number 50
Josep Garcia had already secured the EnduroGP and Enduro1 world titles before arriving in Wales, but that did not slow him down. After finishing second in Friday’s Super Test, Garcia dominated Saturday, winning six tests and taking the EnduroGP victory by 34 seconds.
He repeated the result on Sunday, winning three of the opening four tests before controlling the remainder of the day. That Sunday victory marked Garcia’s 50th EnduroGP win. He also completed a perfect Enduro1 season, winning all 14 days of racing in the class.
A Huge Season for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing
The 2026 season ends with KTM taking:
- EnduroGP World Championship
- Enduro1 World Championship
- Enduro2 World Championship
- First and second overall in EnduroGP
The team now turns its attention towards the 100th edition of the FIM 6DAYS in Portugal, scheduled for October.

After struggling a little on the first day and finishing third, I went into the final day with just one point separating us, so I knew I had to give everything. I’m really happy with how I managed the pressure and the situation today. I rode really well, pushed from the beginning, and was able to get the win when it mattered most.”

One point between Verona and Pichon before the final day. No pressure at all. Verona responded by building a 16-second lead and taking the title, while Garcia casually collected EnduroGP victory number 50 in the background. KTM had a fairly quiet weekend, then.
