Big bikes, proper racing and a perfect setting. Adventure Riders Challenge brought the big adventure bikes to Cheile Grădiștei, a location that seems made for this kind of racing.
And when an event comes under the organization of TopCross TCS and Adi Răduță, the ingredients are already there for a serious off-road weekend: technical terrain, proper competition and a course designed to put both rider and motorcycle to the test.
This time, the victory went to Krisztian Tompa, the NordicaMoto rider who has become increasingly active in races dedicated to “big bikes”.

Tompa takes the win on the Yamaha Ténéré 700
Krisztian Tompa took the top step of the podium aboard his Yamaha Ténéré 700, showing once again that his experience transfers very well to the Adventure Bike world. Already known from MX competition, Tompa is clearly spending and enjoys more and more time racing heavier motorcycles, and the win at Adventure Riders Challenge confirms that the transition is working.
Bogdan Buțiu adapts quickly to the QJMOTOR SRT 450RX
Second place went to Bogdan Buțiu, who arrived with something new on the Romanian market: the QJMOTOR SRT 450RX. It was one of his first contacts with the motorcycle, but the recent winner of the Hobby class in Hard Enduro quickly proved that the extra kilograms are not a major problem.
Buțiu adapted quickly to the bike and finished the race in second place, giving the new QJMOTOR a strong result from the start.
Three brands on the podium
The podium was completed by Sebastian Grosu on the CFMOTO 450MT, making the top three as varied as the Adventure Bike category itself.
Adventure Riders Challenge podium:
- Krisztian Tompa – Yamaha Ténéré 700
- Bogdan Buțiu – QJMOTOR SRT 450RX
- Sebastian Grosu – CFMOTO 450MT
Three riders, three different motorcycles and another good sign that the Adventure Bike racing scene in Romania is starting to become increasingly competitive. From lightweight hard enduro machines to large adventure bikes, more and more riders are discovering that the real fun begins when these motorcycles leave the asphalt behind.
