KTM has lifted the cover on the 2026 890 Adventure R Rally, a limited-production machine built for riders who want the closest thing possible to a factory rally bike in a road-legal adventure package.
If the standard 890 Adventure R already sets the pace in off-road travel performance, the R Rally pushes things even further. This is the sharper, harder-edged version — developed with direct inspiration from KTM’s Dakar-winning rally program and aimed at riders who care less about comfort-first touring and more about attacking terrain at speed.
The biggest talking point is the suspension package. KTM has equipped the bike with WP XPLOR PRO components, derived straight from WP Factory Racing programs.

Up front, a lightweight WP XPLOR PRO fork with Cone Valve technology works together with a WP XPLOR PRO shock, giving the bike 270 mm of suspension travel and genuine race-level damping performance. The promise here is simple: more confidence at the front, better resistance to bottoming out, and improved control when the terrain gets fast, rough, and unpredictable.
KTM also says that despite the race-spec setup, the bike still keeps enough composure and comfort for longer adventures — even when carrying luggage or a passenger.
At the heart of the 2026 KTM 890 Adventure R Rally is the familiar 889 cc parallel-twin engine, producing 106 PS and 100 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

Backing that up is a full suite of electronics designed to keep the bike rally-ready:
All of it is managed through a 5-inch TFT display with Connectivity Unit and Turn-by-Turn+ navigation.
Visually, the 2026 model leaves little doubt about its intentions. The new Red Bull KTM Factory Racing-inspired graphics, combined with the Akrapovič Slip-on Line exhaust, give it a proper rally look straight out of the Dakar bivouac.

Other details underline that same intention:

KTM is also backing the bike with its Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty, offering up to four years of coverage, provided servicing is carried out according to schedule at an authorised KTM dealer.
Production of the 2026 KTM 890 Adventure R Rally is set to begin in March in Austria. Limited numbers, premium hardware, and proper Dakar-inspired attitude — the 890 Adventure R Rally looks built for riders who don’t just want to travel off-road, but want to do it fast, hard, and with no excuses
