Competitors from 57 nations are arriving in Sibiu for the 23rd edition of Red Bull Romaniacs, bringing together one of the most international fields in Hard Enduro and Adventure Bike racing.
For some riders, returning to Romania has become an annual tradition. For others, this is the first chance to experience the race they have followed and dreamed about for years.
With riders, teams and motorcycles now filling the city, the atmosphere around the “UNSTOPPABLE” Edition 23 is already building.
Opening Ceremony and Nations Parade – Monday, July 27
The event officially begins on Monday, July 27, with the Opening Ceremony and the traditional Nations Parade.
Hundreds of competitors will ride through the historic centre of Sibiu carrying their national flags, creating one of the most colourful and recognisable moments of the week. The parade will pass through the city at: 13:30 EEST
Against the backdrop of Sibiu’s historic architecture, the Nations Parade gives fans, photographers and media their first look at the full international field.
DEMOmaniacs Brings the First Prolog Action
The parade will continue towards Bulevardul Corneliu Coposu, where the first riding action begins with the DEMOmaniacs session.
Starting at 13:50 EEST, Gold Class riders will take to the in-city Prolog course for an early look at the obstacles and technical sections waiting for them.
New for the 2026 edition, riders from the Adventure Ultimate class will also have the opportunity to ride the Prolog track after the Gold Class demonstration.
During DEMOmaniacs, the course will not be adapted for the large multi-cylinder motorcycles in the same way it will be modified for the official Prolog Finals. That means the Adventure riders will receive a very direct introduction to what the Gold Class competitors face.
Rider Presentation and Meet & Greet
Immediately after the DEMOmaniacs session, the official Rider Presentation will take place near the water fountain and medieval city wall. Red Bull Romaniacs founder Martin Freinademetz will host the presentation, introducing and speaking with several of the world’s leading riders.
Fans will then have the chance to meet some of the event’s biggest names during the public Meet & Greet, beginning at: 14:20 EEST
The session will bring the Opening Ceremony to a close before attention turns towards Tuesday’s Prolog.

Four Offroad Days in the Carpathians
Following the Prolog, the main rally begins on Wednesday, July 29, with four consecutive Offroad Days running until Saturday, August 1.
Start times will vary each day and will be announced on the previous evening. Depending on the class and route, riders will face distances of up to, and sometimes beyond, 100 kilometres per day.
Each stage will include:
- An offroad start
- A mandatory Service Point
- An offroad finish
- Multiple public Spectator Points
Fans planning to follow the race should carefully select the viewing locations they want to visit, as not every Spectator Point can be reached during the same day. Live Race Progress will allow followers to track competitors throughout each stage.
Two New Overnight Stops Outside Sibiu
One of the major changes for the “UNSTOPPABLE” edition is the introduction of two overnight stays outside Sibiu. Enduro competitors will finish and stay in the mountain setting of Straja, while the Adventure Bike riders will spend the night in central Petroșani.

The new format expands the race beyond its traditional Sibiu base and adds another layer of endurance and logistical challenge for both riders and teams.
The Final Battle at Sibiu Hillclimbs Arena
The event will reach its conclusion on Offroad Day 4 at the Sibiu Hillclimbs Arena. The notorious final hillclimb, combined with a series of steep and technical vertical challenges, will again provide the setting for the last racing action of the week.
Thousands of spectators are expected to gather around the arena as riders fight to reach the finish and complete one of the toughest events in off-road motorcycling. The race will conclude with the podium celebrations and the unmistakable Red Bull Romaniacs finish-line atmosphere.

Five Days of Hard Enduro and Adventure Bike Racing
Created in 2004 by Martin Freinademetz, Red Bull Romaniacs has grown into one of the most demanding off-road rallies in the world. The event combines an in-city Prolog with four gruelling Offroad Days through the Carpathian Mountains.
The addition of dedicated Adventure Bike categories has expanded the race into a multidisciplinary competition, bringing new riders, manufacturers and technical challenges into the Romaniacs world.
