A new Hard Enduro race is coming to Slovenia. The first Lukovica Extreme Enduro will take place on 10–11 October 2026 inside the Lukovica Quarry, bringing together competitive riders, amateur racers and Hard Enduro fans from Slovenia and abroad.
At the centre of the new event is a planned 15-kilometre loop built across one of the most unusual riding areas in the country.
A 350,000 m² Hard Enduro playground
The Lukovica Quarry covers more than 350,000 square metres, giving the organisers enough space to create a varied and technically demanding course.
Riders can expect a mixture of:
- dirt and loose rocks;
- water crossings;
- steep climbs;
- technical descents;
- natural obstacles;
- open quarry sections and changing terrain.
The location should produce a course where both speed and technical ability matter. A clean line through the rocks could save plenty of energy, while one mistake on a steep climb could turn a few seconds into a much longer struggle. The quarry also offers excellent visibility across the venue. Spectators will be able to follow several of the most difficult sections from close range instead of seeing the riders only briefly before they disappear into the forest.
That should make Lukovica as interesting for the fans as it will be demanding for the competitors.
Prologue on Saturday, main race on Sunday
The event will be held across two days. Saturday’s Prologue will decide the starting order for the main race. It will give riders their first taste of the quarry and could become especially important on a course where catching slower competitors may cost valuable time.
The main race will follow on Sunday, with riders competing across five categories:
- Bronze;
- Silver;
- Gold;
- Veteran 40+;
- Veteran 50+.
The class structure opens the event to riders with different levels of experience, from recreational racers looking for a serious weekend challenge to competitors ready to attack the hardest lines available inside the quarry.
Building a new Slovenian Hard Enduro tradition
Lukovica Extreme Enduro is organised by MotoXgeneration, a team with experience in the motorcycle industry, event organisation and cooperation with international motorcycle brands. The ambition goes beyond creating a one-off race.
The organisers want Lukovica to become an annual event that grows from one edition to the next, bringing the motorcycle community together and supporting the development of Hard Enduro in Slovenia.
With its large quarry, spectator-friendly layout and location in Central Europe, the event has the ingredients to attract an international starting field and establish a regular place on the regional calendar.
