Strong result for Alfredo Gomez and his new team, AG Racing Team 89 at Minus 400

FIM HardEnduro World Championship started with a new location, Israel, a place where all the limits for the man and machine went to another level.

AG RACING TEAM 89 debuted in Israel, with 3 riders, making them the largest team in the paddock.

A new riding terrain for riders, with so many loose rocks and riverbeds, made the riders to struggle for a good flow and the mechanics for fine-tuning the bikes. “It wasn’t my best weekend. I was struggling a lot to accommodate with the bike, my front suspension wasn’t on the point. The terrain was very loose with lots of rocks and river beds, so this was the biggest challenge for me and the bike, and of course the heat and riding in the desert without water,” says Alfredo Gomez.

Alfredo Gomez tried all his best and in the closing stages of the race took Young’s late errors to race his way into fourth. “I was in the fight for the podium, I like that, and according to the bad setup, it’s really a good result, 4th place.”

For the new Alfredo Gomez Racing Team was a stunning weekend. Suff Sella had a good result on Day 1 winning the semi-final of the SuperEnduro Prologue and in the Final he got 4th place. Also, Marc Fernandez finished the race P12 after Suff. “Overall being with the team near the podium, and almost in Top10, is good for us and now everybody can see who we are, since the 1st round of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, now we are preparing for the second round, Xross,” declared Alfredo Gomez.

After the extreme heat and dry terrain of Israel’s Dead Sea, the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship now heads deep into the Serbian Mountains for round two with the Xross Hard Enduro Rally on May 18-21.
