The Romanian National Hard Enduro Championship is back—and so is the classic showdown: Cyprian vs. Norbi.
What a start to the season! The Hard Enduro Arsenal Prologue kicked off the Romanian National Championship in high gear, with the familiar rivalry between David Cyprian and Jozsa Norbert Levente reigniting. And it’s as tight as it gets—just one second separates the two after a fast-paced day slicing through the rain-soaked forest.
“I started easy today, but at a fast pace. The only real issue was the rain—it made visibility really tough. After seven months off, it’s my first race back, and my forearms definitely felt it. But I hope to get back into rhythm by the end!”
Jozsa Norbert Levente – Master Bike Cluj
“Pretty wet today, but the track had a really good flow, with some fun rivers to wake us up. Tomorrow, the real race begins!”
David Cyprian –
Right behind them sits Rigor Rico, just six seconds off the lead. A small riding error cost him valuable time—he stalled until other riders showed up, then followed their line.
A pleasant surprise—or perhaps not—comes in fourth place: Kornel Ott, newly promoted from the EXPERT class, only 55 seconds behind the leader. Raul Pătrău rounds out the TOP 5, with Ervin Kovacs right behind him, apparently committing fully to Hard Enduro this season.
“It was great today—wet, but with really good grip. I didn’t push too hard; I’m saving energy for the next stages,”
Raul Pătrău
In the VETERAN category, it’s business as usual: Cyprian Zdenek dominates the fast track, trailed by Stroișteanu Bart and Niedziolka Bartolomiej.
Over in the EXPERT class, BITZ Jan Luca takes the lead, followed closely—just one second behind—by WISNIEWSKI Konrad. TINCHEV Dimitar completes the podium in third.
And in the HOBBY class, STERP Ilie will start tomorrow in front, with CHIUJDEA Ioan and ALIONESCU Ioan Andrei lining up behind him.
