CFMOTO Romania is preparing for one of its toughest challenges yet, entering Avram Florin and Bart Stroișteanu at Red Bull Romaniacs aboard the new CFMOTO 1000MT-X.
The two experienced riders will take the Chinese manufacturer’s flagship adventure motorcycle into terrain normally dominated by much lighter hard enduro machines. Their objective is straightforward, although anything but easy: bring the new 1000MT-X to the finish of one of the world’s most demanding off-road events.
A Serious Test for CFMOTO’s New Adventure Flagship
By entering the new 1000MT-X, CFMOTO Romania wants to prove that the motorcycle is capable of far more than long-distance touring and comfortable adventure riding. The Carpathian terrain will test every part of the package, from its off-road handling and durability to its reliability across long and punishing race days.
Technical climbs, loose rocks, exposed roots and unpredictable mountain conditions will leave very little room for error.
112 Horsepower Meets Hard Enduro Terrain
The new CFMOTO 1000MT-X is powered by a 946cc parallel-twin engine, producing 112 horsepower and 105 Nm of torque.
With a fully fuelled weight of approximately 222 kilograms, it sits among the lighter motorcycles in the Big Adventure category, although it will still be carrying significantly more mass than a conventional enduro bike.
Its equipment includes:
- Fully adjustable KYB suspension
- 21-inch front wheel
- 18-inch rear wheel
- Brembo braking system
- Bosch Cornering ABS
- Traction Control
- 22.5-litre fuel tank
It is a complete adventure package on paper. Red Bull Romaniacs will show how that package performs when the terrain becomes genuinely extreme.
Experience Will Be Essential
For Avram Florin and Bart Stroișteanu, the challenge has two sides.They must successfully manage a powerful 222-kilogram adventure motorcycle through demanding off-road sections while also demonstrating the potential of a completely new model.
Every kilometre will require careful decisions. The riders will need to balance speed with mechanical preservation, choose lines suitable for a much larger motorcycle and avoid mistakes that could quickly become exhausting or costly.
Their off-road and racing experience will be vital, particularly on steep climbs and technical sections where motorcycle weight can make even a small problem much harder to solve.
Racing as the Ultimate Development Test
The project marks an important step for CFMOTO Romania as it strengthens its presence in international competition. Instead of limiting the 1000MT-X to conventional testing, the company has chosen one of the harshest proving grounds available.
Red Bull Romaniacs will offer a clear demonstration of the motorcycle’s capability under race conditions, where durability, rider confidence and off-road performance matter far more than specifications on a brochure.
A successful finish would be a major achievement for Avram Florin and Bart Stroișteanu, while also giving the new CFMOTO 1000MT-X one of the toughest possible introductions to the adventure motorcycle world.
