The 4th edition of the Abestone Hard Enduro, organised by Michele Bosi, turned the ski slopes of Val di Luce near Abetone, Tuscany into the stage for one of the most intense races of the season.
This year’s track was designed shorter and more compact, which meant more laps, tighter racing, and perfect visibility for fans and media. Spectators didn’t just watch the race—they felt it, as the Italian crowd cranked the atmosphere to another level.
From start to finish, the Gold Class Final was all about Billy Bolt and Manuel Lettenbichler. The two traded blows lap after lap, pushing each other to the limit across rocky climbs, slick forest trails, and the notorious obstacles.
It all came down to the last corner of the final lap—and Bolt found just enough space to edge out Mani, sealing a nail-biting victory that had the crowd roaring.
The race was so fast and brutal that only Bolt and Lettenbichler made it into the legendary X-Loop at the end, after lapping all the way up to third place. Lapped riders weren’t allowed to enter the X-Loop, which meant the grand finale was a straight showdown between the two titans of hard enduro.
The format proved to be a hit with fans, but organisers already hinted at tweaking the rules next year to allow more riders into the X-Loop stage. If this year’s chaos is anything to go by, Abestone 2026 might be even crazier.
