Proper hard enduro in Portugal: Mani wins a brutal Saturday at XL Lagares

Saturday at Extreme XL Lagares 2026 delivered exactly what hard enduro fans want to see: rain, sun, rocks and rivers, all mixed into one proper day of racing. It was the kind of day that pushed the riders hard, but also showed why this part of Portugal is such a special place to ride a motorbike.

From slippery sections to rocky river action, the course had a bit of everything, and you could clearly see that, despite the suffering, the riders were enjoying the challenge. There was also some confusion in places with the track marking, but overall it still turned into a mega day of racing and a great show to watch.

At the front, Manuel Lettenbichler came out on top once again, taking the day win ahead of Teodor Kabakchiev, Mario Roman and Wade Young. It was another strong statement from Mani, but also a solid day for the riders chasing behind him on a demanding Portuguese battlefield.

A proper hard enduro day, no question.
