Spain’s Josep García (KTM #73) once again showed why he’s one of the fastest men in the world, clocking the day’s best time at 30’08”. Hot on his heels, home hero Andrea Verona (GasGas #163) kept the Italian fans screaming, finishing just 11 seconds back. Australian talent Kyron Bacon (Kawasaki #44) made his mark in third, while Italy’s Samuele Bernardini (Honda #160) and Morgan Lesiardo (Triumph #162) rounded out the Top 5 within seconds of each other.
The squad of Bernardini, Morettini, Lesiardo, and Verona combined forces to post a total of 4h15’51”, putting them on top of the leaderboard. France trails by 1’47”, Sweden sits third at +2’26”, while Australia and the USA are left chasing in 4th and 5th.
With two days down, the Italians have momentum, the crowd, and the home soil advantage. But Garcia’s raw speed is making sure Spain stays very much in the fight.
