First thing first we need to take the rear wheel off. All riders should know how to do it and will fast forward this step.

Now is time to remove the rear sprocket. Our has more than 250 hours on it and this sprocket had seen also the Red Bull Romaniacs 2019 PRO tracks!!
The easiest way to lose the screws is to use a 13mm wrench. You apply all the force to the wrench, not on the Torx. This way you will not damage the bolt heads.

Clean everything with a wire brush, especially if you have Loctite on the bolts.

Dual material sprockets are extremely lightweight and durable with an internal part made from aluminum and cured steel outer ring. As you can see, ZF sprockets are on Beta Factory Teams and other factory Enduro teams.

We had also a rear sprocket from another brand, a dual material sprocket, but we managed to bend it. I don’t know how, but the sprocket had to be changed after 10 or 15 hours on the bike.

The technology that ZF developed is over the last 8 years. The Polish company can produce high-quality sprockets yet keeping the production costs down.

The sprockets are made of the best quality German aluminum supplied by World’s Leading aluminum supplier. This type of aluminum is used by Airbus, Boeing, Audi.

Thanks to the special technology „Ball Burnishing” that is only used for the high spec products ZF can achieve the attractive, reflective and clear „mirror” finish. After this process, you will have a badass looking rear sprocket but will also increase the lifespan of the teeth.

Also, for racing and hard enduro stuff, we use 49 teeth sprocket. Best for Hard technical trails. 1st gear is very short and with 2nd we have a lot of torque in low RPM but still a good speed on the long uphills.

Every sprocket goes through up to 8 production stages and 9 individual quality control checks before it is ready to leave the factory.

For the front, we went for MINO SPROCKETS. Cheap and durable. We had in 250 hours about 5 front sprockets change. Yes, the front is wearing faster because all the force is transferred by this little guy. We use a 13 teeth sprocket for Hard Enduro and technical stuff.

For the Chain, we go with D.I.D chains. The O-ring version. Yes, we know is not the last technology, the O-Rings but for us is working for a long time and is cheaper than X-ring. We got the chain from FMRacing Romania.
Our chain was with safety lock but as you can see the lock is somewhere in the woods. We got lucky that our chain didn’t snap. A rock probably has riveted the chain.

We cut the chain using a bench grinder and then we give it a few whacks with a hammer to get out the extra links.
