With a classic format — prologue plus two days in the forest — the race once again delivered fast trails, technical sections, plenty of dust and demanding climbs, all in one of the most beautiful hard enduro areas in Romania.
The weekend started with the prologue, where Cezar began from 9th position and finished the day in P5.
The track was around 45 minutes long, very fast, with only a few technical climbs, but with a huge amount of dust. Cezar admitted that he couldn’t really find his rhythm and made several mistakes during the run.
“Unfortunately, I couldn’t get into my rhythm. It was a chaotic run and I made quite a few mistakes.”
Even so, finishing 5th in the prologue kept him in the fight for the top positions before the two forest days.
The first forest day started with some doubts for the NordicaMoto rider, especially after not being able to rest properly before the race. But once the race started, everything changed.
Cezar quickly found his rhythm, felt excellent on the bike and started to recover positions. He spent most of the course in 3rd place and even managed to move up to 2nd place at one point.
At the end of the day, he finished in P4, after a solid race and a much better performance compared to the prologue.
The final day of racing was very demanding, with many technical climbs packed close together — exactly the kind of terrain that requires strength, control and full focus.
Cezar kept a constant pace, entered the service area in 3rd position, and managed to hold that place all the way to the finish. It was his best day of the weekend and a clear confirmation of the progress he has made.
“Overall, I finish Hard Enduro Piatra Craiului very happy with my evolution. I made a step forward compared to last year and proved to myself that the work I’ve put in is paying off.”
For Cezar Șulea, Piatra Craiului was not just another race completed successfully. It was also a clear sign that the preparation is starting to show in the results.
From a prologue where he struggled to find his rhythm, to a final day finished in 3rd place, the weekend showed steady improvement and a good ability to adapt.
Cezar leaves Piatra Craiului satisfied with his performance and with more confidence for the next challenges of the season.
“Thank you to everyone who supports me and stands by my side!”
