VIDEO. Sherco TVS Racing team is heading to South America! – Dakar 2017

The support vehicles and the motorcycles that will be raced by the Sherco TVS Factory Rally Team have boarded on November from Le Havre to Buenos Aires (Argentina).

The Sherco TVS Factory Rally Team is composed of three riders (Joan Pedrero, Adrien Metge and Aravind KP), six assistants (three mechanics, one logistics manager, one engine manager and myself, the team manager).

The course for the 2017 Dakar was revealed to us during the November 23^rd presentation in Paris. We will leave Paraguay, go through Bolivia and finish in Argentina. It will be a Dakar that takes place at high altitude, we will be racing for a week between 3000 and 4000 meters. The rest day will be in La Paz (Bolivia) at 3600 m altitude. It will be very hard for everyone.

“We have developed our Dakar strategy, we will carefully manage the men and equipment. At these altitudes, one must be very vigilant. We have worked a lot on the bikes, they are finished and ready to go, we have taken good care of them. The riders, who have train hard, will be ready for the start. We are looking forward to meeting in Buenos Aires to pick up the equipment at the port and return to Asuncion (Paraguay). We will start on January 1, 2017 for a fortnight of intense racing.“
