The 2025 Romanian Hard Enduro National Championship reached its final stop this weekend at Băița, with the Golden Mountain Enduro kicking off under heavy rain. The long-awaited wet conditions turned the prologue into a slippery, technical challenge, and gave fans plenty of tight racing across all classes.
Although the national title is already sealed by Jozsa Norbert Levente (Master Bike Cluj, 400 pts), the fight for vice-champion honors remains intense.
Behind them, Raul Pătrău and Ciprian Codruț Furtună posted nearly identical times, keeping Furtună in the heat of the vice-championship battle against Sulea Cezar Nicolae (Go Racing București), who struggled further down the order.
The Expert category saw an international mix at the top. Zdenek Pitel won the day, but only by three seconds over David Ignat, the fastest Romanian of the class, who kept the crowd buzzing with his pace. Jan Hochmann secured third place, making the podium a tight contest.
No doubt at Hobby: Ioan Chiujdea dominated the prologue, pulling a big gap on the rest of the field. Jan Nosek and Darian Schenk followed in second and third, but unless conditions shake things up, Chiujdea looks like the clear favorite heading into the mountain stages.
Veteran riders showed their consistency in the mud. Zdenek Cyprian proved unstoppable, taking a clear win ahead of Justyn Janas and Radim Zurek, who fought for the remaining podium spots.
Maria Grigoraș once again set the pace among the women, storming to victory with nearly a 50-minute lead over Alicia Glock and 3rd time in HOBBY class… Maria continues to dominate the national women’s field and looks unstoppable this weekend.
The Golden Mountain Prologue brought exactly what fans hoped for: rain, drama, and tight battles. With the championship already in Jozsa’s pocket, all eyes are now on the vice-champion duel between Sulea and Furtună, while Cyprian, Kornel, and Valvoda fight for top honors in the last showdown of the season.
