Alfredo Gomez is ready to smash the Hard Enduro World Championship season opener! Xross Hard Enduro Rally

We catched Alfredo Gomez and talked a little bit about the new 2023 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship plans and how was the pre-season for the new Rieju and AG Racing Team.

Right now the Rieju Factory Team is in Serbia, getting ready for the Xross Hard Enduro Rally, the HEWC season opener.

“We had such a great training before Xross, in Romania at enduroPANORAMA. A 4 day event with great trails. It was a good time to setup the bike for what is coming. Had a chance to win the race, but a small problem with the bike in 3rd day, pushed me in 3rd spot overall. But like I said, I’m happy with how I performed in Romania.” said Alfredo Gomez.

The pre-season looked to be pretty strong for Alfredo but also for the kids, around him in the AG Racing Team. Marc Fernandez go stronger every race, got lots of races and lots of time on the bike. Unfortunately for Suff Sella injuries kept him on the side. After he recovered from a nasty crash, last week he broke his ACL, but probably after Romaniacs Suff will be on the bike again! Also a new member in AG Racing Team is Nicolaj Thybring who’s excited for the new Hard Enduro Season.

“I’m very excited for the new season! Now with a new bike, a new team, and also with a strong pre-season program, we are ready to start in full gas!” completed Alfredo.

This year, Xross welcomed more than 300 riders from 40 countries, which is a record number of participants.

Xross Schedule:

Wednesday – May 17. Prologue qualification and evening Enduro Cross shootout.

Thursday May 18- Saturday May 20. Main race days using GPS guidance across three mountains in the west of Serbia (in the Tara, Mokra Gora and Zlatibor Mountains).
