The Agony and the Ecstasy – Timo Bergman’s 24MX Alestrem Race Report

2 weeks after FIM SuperEnduro World Championship in Riesa, Germany, our Zona Enduro rider Timo Bergmann had one week of training in Spain with Blake Gutzeit before heading to France for 24MX Alestrem Hard Enduro 2017.

“We had one great week of training in Spain and was a good warm up for France’s hardest Hard Enduro race,” said Timo.

Prologue day was a good one for our rider supported by Hard Enduro Arad – King Of The Hill Hard Enduro, Master Bike Cluj, Pensiunea Konak, Zona Enduro, Manfroni Sport, mxg-parts.com, Enduro Engineering, Chiromedical, Mitas Moto, Chemtraders, POW Reiniger – Pro Offroad Wash POW and LetsRide Graphics. “Prologue went really good, from 300+ riders I was able to get a strong 45th position for starting the real race“!

With only 4 guys seeing the finish line, and when Jarvis said that this race was one of the hardest he have done so far… what humans can do when the God is struggling?? “51th place in the PRO class is something, but I had done a big mistake in 2nd lap. I don’t know why a stopped at the service point, not at the finish line which was 3 km further. That kicked me really far behind in rankings. It was really really hard race! Only 4 people finished on perfect dry condition! The 3 laps was nearly 200 km of real hard hard enduro! They are crazy!! I’m so done!! I crashed hard into a riverbed first round. Fall down 3 meter together with the bike! I want to give a special tanks to all my sponsors for letting me living the dream, especially to Mitas – Chemtraders for the perfect grip I had the whole race with the EF-07 Super Light!“
