VIDEO. VELLAHN EnduroCross 2014 – The Movie

The event of the year in Germany, Vellahn. Vellahn International EnduroCross, the biggest endurocross race in Germany, the place where the biggest stars of enduro will battle on a track designed with no mercy, by Holger Dettmann.

Kornel Nemeth, the winner of last year edition is the rider who needs to defend his title, but the competition is hard!

With riders like Andreas Lettenbichler, Paul Bolton and the rising star, Wade Young from South Africa this is not an easy job!

Even from qualifiers, Wade has shown that he is improving his skills from a race to another. Winning King of the Hill, in Ghioroc, Romania, and taking an fenomenal third place in Red Bull Romaniacs, now is time for Wade to prove that the european competitions are like the second home for the 18 years old boy.

The battle has begun even from the second round of qualifiers, when Wade was fighting for the first position with the more experimented Andreas Lettenbichler.

The german rider has put a lot of pressure on Wade, passing him a few times, but in the end, Wade has managed to take the victory!

In third round, Nemeth has the chance to prove his super enduro skills but he didn’t push to hard, taking second place behind Young.

The Last Chance Qualifiers are taken by Norman Veerbeek, but unfortunately due to a flu the “Flying Holander”, the winner of Regiment 13 2014 was forced to withdraw from competition.

Now its time for the local star Benny Menzel, to shine in the FINALS, and battle with the world’s best riders, Wade Young, Andreas Lettenbichler, Cornel Nemeth, Paul Bolton, Markus Kehr, Manuel Lettenbichler and many others.

In front of over 3000 spectators, 14 riders had to do 10 laps of the extreme track. The HoleShot in the Finals is taken by Kornel Nemeth… and he will stay in the front of the pack for 3 laps…. A fall in the rocks sections open the way for Andreas Lettenbichler and Wade Young to fight for the first position!

Paul Bolton has been cought in the start jam and send straight to the last place even from first second of the race. The British rider has fought until in the last second of the Main Event and managed to take the 4th place.

In third place, the GERMAN hero, Marcus Kehr is the rider with a great and constant evolution in Vellahn, a good result for the Sherco rider.

The event is claimed by Wade Young. The KTM rider has found the perfect rhythm and he won the Vellahn EnduroCross with a little over 30 seconds in front of Andreas Lettenbichler.
