No more rain, not so much mud, but the long rivers and the big stones and on a 15 km loop on the track are now the real enemyes of the riders.
Starting second, Mario Roman has a point to prove. In short time he passed Martin Volny and now he is the new leader of the race. The Spanish guy is imposing a new rhythm and lead the race to the end. “Was and awesome week-end for me. First day was so muddy and in some areas it was so slippery, like on ice. Was a crazy day for me! No mistakes for me, just in the first day at the Prologue, a mistake that put Wade on the first step of the podium. Last day of racing was a good combination of slow sections and fast sections, I like it so much!”
Now is time for Wade Young to push hard to catch up the guys in front. Due to the mechanical problems from Day 1, Wade was forced to slow down and bring the bike safe to the finish line.
Second day is a good one for the KTM Kredito24’s rider and with help coming from JJR’ mechanic he was able to fix his bike in time. Following Mario Roman all day, Wade finished the race in second place but unfortunately he was unable to take his second win in a row at Arad. “The Prologue went well, great track prepared by Holger, made no mistakes and in the final I won. Second day was hard, big uphills and muddy. I had to cruise the last 20 km to the end to bring the bike safe in the paddok because i lost all the oil from engine. The final and last day was great, a short 15km loop was quite tough with 5 laps we did. Mario Roman rode well, I managet to get in second, overall was a great week-end, thanks to my awesome sponsors for that, and maybe I’ll come back next year again.”
In third place comes England’s Ben Hemingway with 16 minutes behind the leader after he started the day from 9th position. 2 minutes behind is the South African Blake Gutzeit.
Not a good day for Volny, he finished the 3th day in 6th position, almost 23 minutes behind the leader. The best Romanian rider of the PRO Class remains Josza Norbert-Levente from BGS Motorsport.
At the end of the competition Mario Roman is declared the new King of the Hill 2015. The Spanish rider is follwed by the last year’s champ, Wade Young, and in third position is Martin Volny. Beta’s Ben Hemingway is in 4th position and Blake Gutzeit completes the Top5.
Zdenek Cyprian wins for 2nd year in a row the Hobby Class. He is followed in second by Maciej Loboz and the podium is completed by Teodor Kabakchiew from Bulgaria.
