The mountains of Kastoria, Greece echoed with the sound of 2-strokes and determination as the first-ever Kastoria Hard Enduro took place. With over 50 riders lining up across Pro, Expert, and Veteran classes, the event marked a bold new step for extreme enduro in the region.
The two-day format gave riders a proper test:
It wasn’t just about racing – it was about answering the call of the mountains: ride harder, climb higher, and push further than ever before.
The PRO category saw a dominant ride from Kostas Efstathiadis (Husqvarna 300, A.M.S. Skydra), who crossed the line in 2h11’38, setting the benchmark for the event. Teammate George Okaoglou (Husqvarna 300) followed just over a minute back, while Anastasios Tagaris (KTM 300) completed a clean sweep of the podium for A.M.S. Skydra.
In the Expert category, the fight for the win came down to seconds. Dimitrios Stasinis (Beta RR 300, M.O.F.) took the top spot with 3:34:57, holding off Georgos Kazakidis (KTM EXC 250) by just 13 seconds! Paraschos Panagiotaras (KTM EXC 300) followed in third to complete a dramatic podium.
For the Veterans, it was Emman Katsogridakis (Beta 300, LE.M.A.Th.) who showed the younger riders how it’s done, storming to victory in 3:18:39. Behind him, the long race took its toll, but Charalampos Christopoulos (Husqvarna) and Evangelos Ragkousis (Beta) fought hard to claim the remaining podium spots.
The first edition of Kastoria Hard Enduro proved that Greece is ready for the world of extreme enduro. Brutal tracks, passionate local clubs, and riders giving it everything they had – Kastoria has put itself on the Hard Enduro map.
