“So far everything’s clicking way better than I expected! Two off‑road days in, I’m one second off Walker and six minutes clear of P4. Today’s tracks were wicked fast—my kind of riding—but I lost a bit on a chunky rock climb,” Tompa told us.

“The nav is what messes me up the most. Every day I get a little lost. This rally‑raid stuff is all new—MX was simple: same lap, hit your marks,” he laughs. “But honestly, everything else is rolling super smooth. Stoked I signed up!”

Romaniacs punishes nav errors with time penalties and extra kilometres. Tompa’s game plan: ride smart, stick to the GPS track, and use the Ténéré’s punchy torque to claw back every second.
