The opening day of the 2025 6DAYS® FIM Enduro of Nations in Bergamo served up a raw reminder that rain and mud aren’t just part of the scenery—you are the scenery. The early specials turned into trench warfare, where keeping things upright meant everything.
Spain’s Trophy squad, led by the ever-aggressive Josep García, dropped first into that MMA-like mud-fest. They pushed hard and hung around in second for much of the day, but a few slips in the slop cost them. When the mud finally cleared and the sun broke through, Spain found themselves sitting in 4th, just behind France, Italy, and Sweden.
Despite the mess, García punched out a stellar performance: he topped the scratch standings, outpacing Le Quere from France and Italy’s Verona. Meanwhile, Sergio Navarro, Alejandro Navarro, and Julio Pando all managed solid runs and are keyed up for Day Two.
On the Junior front, Team Spain—Alex Puey, Yago Domínguez, and Albert Fontova—also battled through and held on to 4th place, trailing Italy, France, Australia, and the USA.
