David Cyprian Takes Command on Day 1 at Hard Enduro Arsenal – Norbi Trails by 2 Minutes! Ott in the Mix!

Day 1 at Hard Enduro Arsenal delivered exactly what riders crave—gnarly terrain, challenging climbs, and technical sections that defined the spirit of the sport. It was a true Hard Enduro day, and the action didn’t disappoint!

David Cyprian launched off the start line first—and stayed in front the entire way, carving through the course with flawless flow and confidence. He crossed the finish line without encountering a single issue.

“Pretty good! Few new things, I had a good pace and I think I won by like 2 minutes in front of Norbi. It was fun!” – David Cyprian

Chasing from behind, Jozsa Norbert Levente from Master Bike Cluj had a rough start to the day, struggling with arm pump early on. Things got worse when he suffered a rear flat tire mid-race, completely disrupting his rhythm.

“I know there are no excuses. Tomorrow is a new day. I hope to shake off the arm pump and push hard to catch up with David.” – Norbi

While yesterday’s fast-paced prologue suited Kornel Ott perfectly, today’s added Hard Enduro elements didn’t slow the young Beta rider down at all. He held strong, securing third place, 15 minutes behind the leader.

“It wasn’t an extremely hard day. I felt good on the bike. I even caught up to some of the riders in front and rode for a bit with Norbi.” – Ott told Zona Enduro

With two days of racing still ahead, the battle for the PRO Class podium is far from over. Rigor Rico faced a true Hard Enduro test today, learning firsthand what the terrain around Orăștie has to offer. Right behind him is Raul Pătrău, ready to pounce for a podium spot—and not to be counted out, Varga Zsolt, owner of Nordica Moto, is still very much in the game.

Over in the VETERAN class, only three riders made it to the finish line today: Zdenek Cyprian, Bart Stroisteanu, and Tibor Hostyanszki.

The EXPERT category saw a full leaderboard shake-up. Marin Raul now leads, with Ignat David just two minutes behind in second. Raul Gadola climbs into third. Notably, Mădălin Chelcea and Timo BergmannTACS PROTEC rider — both broke into the Top 5, proving the system delivers on both traction and performance.

In the HOBBY class, Romanian riders dominate the leaderboard. Ilie Sterp leads the pack, closely followed by Ioan Alionescu. The two are set for an intense battle in the next stages, with Eduard Petcu currently in third.

Stay tuned—two more days of racing means everything can still change.
