Hart and Walker in a League of Their Own

The battle for EnduroCross supremacy reached new heights as Trystan Hart and Jonny Walker went head-to-head in an electrifying night of racing that saw both riders pull clear of the field in a class of their own.

After a narrow defeat in Moto 1, Hart showed championship resilience, bouncing back to win Motos 2 and 3, delivering a powerful statement that the title fight is far from over. The intensity of the evening was unmatched, with both Hart and Walker charging from deep in the pack during Moto 2 — a comeback that Hart admitted “we normally never do.”

From start to finish, the two Factory stars put on a masterclass in speed, precision, and determination. In Moto 3, Walker pushed relentlessly, shadowing Hart through lapped traffic, but the defending champion held firm to seal the overall victory and reclaim momentum in the series.

Trystan Hart:
“The nerves, no matter how much I said they didn’t get to me, they obviously got to me last week. I still got second last weekend, which I’m super proud of. And then tonight, Jonny was really fast. I was really fast, and we were doing that crazy split line. Me and Jonny clearly got something going on, and it’s gonna be a tough series. Nothing’s gonna be easy about this one.”

Even as fatigue set in, Hart fought through severe arm pump and lapped traffic — including a tense moment behind five-time champion Colton Haaker — to stay out front.

“I had such bad arm pump, and Haaker didn’t do me many favors for like two laps,” Hart said. “It was pretty chaotic, but I didn’t back down, and that’s kind of what I wanted to do this year – not back down under pressure.”

Walker, who finished a close second overall, praised the battle but admitted he still had setup adjustments to make before the next round:

Jonny Walker:
“We were close to the win. We had good speed, so I feel like tomorrow we need to change a few things. I didn’t feel super comfortable on the track with the way the dirt was, and the arena’s super small.”

Behind the leading duo, Cooper Abbott delivered a standout performance to secure third overall, a strong comeback after finishing seventh in Round 1. Abbott was consistent all night and stayed clear of the chaos to land his first podium of the season.

Cooper Abbott:
“I was really upset at myself for that seventh last week, and I knew I was a lot better than that. It’s not a win yet, but it’s a step in the right direction, and we’ll keep building off this. Tomorrow night, we can battle more with Trystan and Jonny.”

Ryder LeBlond showed flashes of brilliance, finishing third in Moto 3 and fourth overall, while Braxton Hintze continued his strong form to round out the top five.

Meanwhile, Colton Haaker suffered a tough night after early issues left him a lap down and unable to recover his usual pace.
