Red Bull Romaniacs — widely branded as the toughest hard enduro rally on the planet — has added the fresh Adventure/Adventure Ultimate class, and Bart, one of the quietly influential figures of Romanian enduro, is diving straight into the deep end. New class, new format, same unforgiving Carpathian playground.
“This year I have the honor to compete in the toughest hard enduro race in the world, Red Bull Romaniacs, in the newly created Adventure class! It’s a completely new challenge for me and the main objective is clear: reach the finish in one piece and bring the bike (the 450 MT) home whole and functional,” Bart told us with a grin.
He’ll be lining up alongside top international riders and some of Romania’s finest. Five days of extreme tracks, brutal climbs, long liaison kilometers, surreal ridgeline scenery and adrenaline spikes — that’s the menu. Adventure class may sound friendly; in Sibiu dialect it still means “pack your courage and extra levers.”
Preparation? Let’s call it… minimalist performance art. Bart admits saddle time has been scarce. One outing ended with a spectacular crash (“a proper cinematic tumble” as he now proudly frames it). The next “training session” with fellow entrant Avram Florin (aka “Dac-ul”) turned into an extended masterclass in fixing punctures. If practice makes perfect, then surely repeatedly wrestling with tire irons counts as simulated race stress. We’re labeling it Enduro Pit-Stop Interval Training™.
And about Bart’s seasoned status: TV host Dani Oțil joked on Facebook that maybe officials should start checking riders’ IDs. Bart laughs that off: “Age? That’s just accumulated traction data in the suspension logs.” Besides, experience is just youth plus scar tissue and upgraded parts.
Still, beneath the humor there’s genuine pride in representing CFMOTO România aboard the 450 MT in this pioneering category. The goal isn’t flashy heroics; it’s intelligent pace, mechanical sympathy, and strategic energy management—knowing when to attack and when to let the mountain have its silence.
So the bike is in the van, the route books (or GPS tracks) await, and Sibiu’s hard enduro cauldron is heating up. Adventure Ultimate is about to learn what a determined Romanian veteran with a sense of humor and a cooperative 450 can do.
Final word from Bart:
“Huge thanks to everyone backing me on this wild mission. Your support fuels every hillclimb, every slippery root, every late-night wrench turn. See you at the finish arch—intact rider, intact 450 MT (that’s the plan!). Much respect and gratitude to:

Onwards to Sibiu.
