The new Sherco 2025 tested in proper French conditions! What a weapon!

Sherco just released their latest enduro dirt bikes, the MY25 range, with lots of improvements, all in all, a brand new bike, with a new design, a new chassis and some little tweaks that will optimize the customer experience!

Right after the bike unveiling you can see the aggressive design of the bike, a design that makes the bike look fast from the front to the end. Not being a Sherco user, but having around other riders, even the factory ones, the new air filter box caught everyone’s eyes. Now changing the air filter and the access to the battery is just one “pull” apart! Also we noticed at the “full factory bike wash” that with just a couple of bolts you have a naked bike and also a state of the art wiring – so clean with again a “factory” look.

Now comes the test day, and we had plenty of bikes to choose from – 125cc which got our respect to the big bore bikes like 500cc!

I started with the Sherco 250 SE because my personal bike is also a 250 from the “other” company. First contact with the bike felt pretty good. Riding position is not something strange, not something that you have to learn again, probably just because of the new frame.

Riding let’s say for the first time, a real Grass CrossTest like we see in EnduroGP made me a little bit nervous, not even the slightest idea what line to choose to be fast, lucky there were some “old dogs” to follow and learn something.

The 250 feelt with lots of power down the bottom, even if sometimes you needed to help it a little bit with the clutch, but here you had to be in the right gear in every corner. The new gearbox made the struggle easier riding so smoothly in 2-3-4 gears.

After the 250cc Sherco I switched to the new 2025 Sherco 300 SEF. This bike is so easy to handle, you can feel the engine braking but is not something to complain about, it has exactly what it needs. Light and easy to turn, for me felt to be the fastest bike in such conditions. And speaking about conditions… it was pouring! Wet grass, slippery mud and tight corners with fast exits were a real test for the bikes!

Couldn’t stay away from the 125! Took the bike for some laps and stayed with the bike all day long, even in the woods! Here we had prepared an Enduro Test with some fast lines, some nice full gas hillclimbs and you guessed it, lots of mud, rocks, ruts and heavy rain!

The 300SE is a real weapon for this type of stuff, the KYB Closed-Cartridge fork feels good, probably with just a couple of clicks you have a stock bike, with stock suspension that only need to be ridden hard, without spending more from “powerparts catalogue”. Fast and quickly getting in the powerband, without being aggressive this bike is not killing you after one or two hours of riding!

After the photoshoot, I saw the Sherco 450 SEF standing alone in the rain so I jumped on it. Love at first twist of the throttle! I forgot about stopping to get some photos and I just enjoyed the French forest till they sent a guy to stop me. Riding on this bike with power in any gear, any corner, any low or high revs makes this one perfect for Cross Country races and like I said on the 300 SEF the engine braking is not killing you! You don’t have to fight with the bike, just to take the line and open the throttle wide!!

The CONCLUSION

The new 2025 Sherco Enduro line up is that it feels like I was riding the bike for years, even if in France it was the first time I jumped on a Sherco bike! Do we recommend it? Hell YES! If you are a week-end warrior or even a racer you will have a stock bike already prepared for the fight! You will have good tyres, great suspension, great bike ergonomics and a great engine that pulls hard!

Thank you Sherco for having us in the beautiful countryside of Savigny-les-Beaune Hameau de Barboron with the possibility to hang around with your best athletes from EnduroGP and Trial and making us feel at home! Au revoir, France – see you next time! I had a camera also… but the mud and the rain made-it useless…
