This weekend the Sherco team was in Romania to participate in the “King Of The Hill”, Wade Young and Mario Roman were considered to be the favorites to win this race.
On Friday the riders raced in a typical superenduro prologue which served to set the pattern for the rest of the weekend of racing. After a final of 15 minutes and two laps Wade was first and Mario was fourth.
On Saturday, the first “real” day of racing, Wade dominated the day and won with more than three minutes over his closest pursuer, Lars Enockl. Mario being sick, he was fighting against himself, but he finished the day, thirteenth.
On the final day, Wade still proved his domination by winning again, this time right in front of Mario.
In the end, Wade wins this “King Of The Hill” and now is the rider who has the most top podium position in the history of the race, Mario ended up in seventh place.
